Being part of the Optimist class team is the first step for any child to enter the world of competitive sailing

 

The Optimist is a type of boat that was born in 1947 with the aim of being a technical, safe and economical boat for the little ones.

The practice of sailing with this boat accompanies many boys and girls throughout their childhood as it takes place between 6 and 15 years of age.

Therefore, being part of the Optimist class sailing team is the first step that any child should take to get started in the world of competition and dinghy sailing, thus maximizing a period of growth that will accompany the rest of their lives.

 

For children, this is a fundamental stage for their development as a sailor and as a person

That is why, from the Club Nàutic Estartit want the members of our sailing teams grow up learning the values that processed the sport of sailing.

We educate the little ones about the true value of things and show them that effort together with a good attitude is the best way to reach any goal or overcome any obstacle.

We instruct them to be careful with the material, to respect colleagues and rivals, we encourage them to learn to solve the problems that arise on their own, and above all to respect nature, the sea and the environment.
